We have various mental faculties within us. If we want to use them, it is beneficial if we develop an understanding of what they are, how they work, and how they interact. Every kind of mental development is based on what access we have to our mental faculties, the entire structure of the mind and the dynamics operating in it.
"Everything we build on it, every spiritual practice, every conception of ourselves, the world and the relationship between the two, every belief, every philosophy and even every simple, perhaps unreflective understanding of the world, is based on this basic structure of our mind and how we understand it . " (Bernhard Kaschek)
Here you can download 5 videos from the HUMAN MIND PROJECT see. They were created during a reatreat for a small group in Germany.
The interview with Bernhard Kaschek. It took place on several days in October 2019. It was run by Eva Karoline Schroff, founder of 'Erzähles Leben'.
Part 1 of the interview. It took place on several days in October 2019. This part of the interview dealt with topics such as 'own wisdom', 'imprints', 'freedom', 'love' and many other questions that are also addressed in the retreat program WISDOM | play a role here and now. In addition, Bernhard also told how this retreat works exactly.
Part 2 of the interview. In this part Bernhard tells about his work as well as about personal matters.
Many people today are interested in what they call 'spirituality'. There are always such terms that come into fashion and then disappear again. One of them is 'Spirituality', it used to be 'Enlightenment'. To be honest, this word has become so worn and bland that its use hardly makes any sense. It really means everything and nothing. One can hear such sentences again and again that a certain person is 'so spiritual' or 'not spiritual at all'. I wonder what this is supposed to say. Is the preoccupation with spirituality perhaps most likely about the longing for something spiritual, for something higher, something pure, perfect? Is that what you mean by 'spirituality'?
»Many people really only want one thing: to fall asleep, remain unconscious, be absent. They have so much stress with everything, with their so-called 'life', which is actually a hamster wheel in which they are stuck and which is spinning far too fast. In this hamster wheel you have to pay too many bills, spend too many hours in a job that doesn't interest you and that doesn't make sense in the end, too many substitute pacifications, amusements, hobbies to make up for everything you missed. They are actually always overloaded and completely burned out. In such a state they have to experience distractions as something alive, something worth striving for and reward themselves with it. Distractions are brief interruptions in the hamster wheel run. The best thing would be a pill that would wake her up the next day in a lovely beach house with a young, toned body, maybe even with an IQ of 150 and a pushchair in the long, curving, tree-lined driveway to the house.
If one wants to understand what love is, one cannot do so without understanding what freedom is. Perhaps what I am saying sounds strange at first, but you have to be free from others and free from yourself if you are to love. Otherwise, 'you just have a relationship' as many people today like to say.
“Imagine you live by the sea. There is always this sound of surf, the coming and going of the waves, this rising and falling rush of the water and the wind. This noise is always there and so normal, it is permanently so present that you don't even notice it anymore. It is simply always there and no longer astonishes you, no matter in which variation it reaches your ear. They don't pay any attention to it anymore. And so it is with all other things; to respond with your work, your relationships, your diet, your way of thinking and feeling. And if you no longer hear this noise to which you have become so used and therefore do not question it, then you will not bring about any really significant change in your life, no matter how much you want it to be. Every day will be like the one before and every day before that will be like all who are to come.
A conversation with Patrizia and Bernhard Kaschek
“Perhaps you are reading this text right now or you are listening to it with the intention of learning something completely new. But in this case I have to disappoint you. Because I have nothing to say that others have not already said in a similar way. Nor do I point out anything new that others have not already pointed out. Therefore I invite you not to devote yourself to these topics and texts in order to gain new ideas. Rather, use what you can find here to do something new with it.
